Apple will debut its next generation of iPhones this September. The next iteration of the iPhone will see some noteworthy changes being made to its design and hardware. Along with the new iPhone 11, Apple is also expected to update other devices in its product lineup like; ‘AirPods, MacBook, iPad, etc’.
To announce all these expected updates, Apple had sent out invites for its September 10th press event.
Unfortunately, all is not well in paradise. Some Chinese industry insiders claim to know pretty much everything about the new iPhone 11 model lineup.
What do We Know Till Now?
According to the speculations, there will be three different iPhone models called; ‘iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max’ respectively. The new iPhones will also come with new color options, updated internal specifications, and increased storage capacity.
iPhone 11
With regards to the new iPhone 11, it is expected that it will be driven by Apple’s powerful A13 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM making the new iPhone brilliantly fast. The iPhone 11 will come with three storage options; ‘64GB, 256GB, and 512GB’.
The new iPhone will also feature a 6.1-inch LCD display with an image resolution of 828 x 1,792 pixels. iPhone 11 which is being positioned by Apple in the market as the successor to iPhone XR, will miss out on 3D Touch and would also miss out on Apple Pencil support.
The new iPhone will also get a bigger battery of 3,1106mAh with support for reverse wireless charging. It will also get a single 12-Megapixel camera in the front and dual 12-Megapixel cameras at the back. Updates will be made to the FaceID for security, while the iPhone 11 will use Wi-Fi 6 for better connectivity.
iPhone 11 Pro & Pro Max
Both the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max will come packed with OLED displays. The iPhone 11 Pro is touted to be the successor of the iPhone XS. It will have a 5.8-inch display with a resolution of 1,125 x 2,436 resulting in a pixel density of 458ppi.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max which will succeed the iPhone XS Max will come with a 6.5-inch OLED display with an image resolution of 1, 242 x 2, 688 pixels.
Both the iPhone 11 Pro & Pro Max would be powered by the A13 SoC along with 6GB of RAM. The Pro Twins will release in three identical storage options; ‘128GB, 256GB, and 512GB’.
The Pro Twins will come with FaceID and a single 12 Megapixel camera in the front with triple 12 Megapixel cameras in the back. They will also support reverse wireless charging and will come with a 3,191mAh size battery for the iPhone 11 Pro and a 3,500mAh size battery for the Pro Max.
How Much will they cost?
If the speculations are to be believed the iPhone 11 price will start from $749. The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max prices will start from $999 and $1,099 respectively.
Final Thoughts?
Apple has been a game-changer when it comes to smartphones. The iPhone is one of the most selling mobile devices in history. So there is no doubt that the new iPhones are heavily anticipated.
Having said that, the new iPhone Pro and Pro Max will come with frosted glossy backs similar to Google Pixel 3. All the iPhones in this series of devices will come with USB Type – C. Apple is also touted to present the new iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max with a new Tapitic Engine for better 3D Touch functionality.
Pre-Orders for the next generation of iPhones will begin from September 13 following their launch on September 10th in the United States.
